Safety Program

The Eramo & Sons Safety Program

John Eramo & Sons believes that a safe work environment is essential to the success of any project. Our employees are required to participate in OSHA training, as well as periodic company safety seminars. They also participate in weekly safety discussions on site, known as “Tool Box Talks.” In situations where another company’s employees are present, we take extra care through safety controls and clear communication practices to ensure that these employees are able to do their job safely while we work around them.

Our safety program includes:

Safety Program Rewards & Incentives

We work very closely with The Builder’s Exchange of Central Ohio to implement proper safety procedures and encourage compliance through random safety audits on our job sites. Our Safety Program rewards workers through incentives for consistently performing various safety activities and exhibiting safety awareness at all times. Our safety program meets or exceeds all state and federal requirements. We have an excellent safety record and continually evaluate our program to make improvements where needed so our employees have the safest possible working environment.

Adhering to All Safety Standards & Regulations

Safety is the shared responsibility of the company & its employees. All employees are expected to obey safety rules and to exercise caution in all work activities. Employees should immediately report all unsafe conditions to their foreman or to management. Employees are required to wear hart hats and work boots at all times. No tennis shoes or ragged clothing will be permitted. Safety glasses and noise protection are available to all employees. Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are located on every job site and all employees are required to know where they are and have access to this information.
